Carmen High School of Science and Technology, South (Carmen South) was established as a non-instrumentality charter school in fall 2007 and is located at 1712 South 32nd Street. Carmen’s mission is to graduate all students as critical thinkers and self-directed learners who are prepared for success in college, meaningful careers, community involvement, and family life. Milwaukee Public Schools has received a request from Carmen for reconciliation of, and payment for, full-time-equivalent (FTE) seats to reflect 390.5 FTEs served (the actual number of students served at Carmen South during the 2018-2019 school year). The total of FTEs served was derived by averaging the amount of total countable pupils from the September and January state-count dates.
