Background: On August 27, 2019, the attached communication proposing a new administrative policy and procedure to "...require Milwaukee Public Schools ('MPS') to deliver music education to all students across the District" was delivered to the Office of Board Governance.

In accordance with Board Rule 1.10, the Board Clerk/Chief Officer, Office of Board Governance, is forwarding this communication to the Board for referral to the appropriate committee of the Board for public hearing and consideration.
Fiscal Impact Statement: Referral of this communication entails no fiscal impact to the District.
Implementation and Assessment Plan Once the Board has referred this communication to committee, the Office of Board Governance will work with the committee's chair and the Office of the Superintendent to place this on the committee's agenda.

The Office of Board Governance will notify the author of the communication when the communication has been scheduled for hearing.
