Background: At its meeting on September 27, 2018 , the Milwaukee Board of School referred Resolution 1819R-008 by Directors Miller and Baez regarding performance-based contracting to the Committee on Accountability, Finance & Personnel.

The proposed revisions to the resolution will allow the Administration, in conjunction with the Office of Accountability and Efficiency, time to research the method of performance based contracting and consider how it can be incorporated into the district's current procurement practices. The results of this research will be reported to the Board by the February 2019 Board cycle with the intent of bringing forward a plan for Board consideration no later than May 2019.
Fiscal Impact Statement: This item does not authorize expenditures. Any costs associated with implementing the resolution will be included as part of the plan for Board consideration in May 2019.
Implementation and Assessment Plan Upon approval by the Board, the Administration and Office of Accountability and Efficiency will begin to research methods of performance based contracting.
Recommendation: The Administration recommends that the Board adopt Resolution 1819R-008 by Directors Miller and Baez regarding performance-based contracting amended as outlined in the attachment.
