Background
:
The Administration is requesting authorization to enter into an Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement with the City of Milwaukee for the Truancy Abatement and Burglary Suppression (TABS) program. The City of Milwaukee provides six city police officers for the TABS program. MPS is also required by state statute to contract with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee for the operation of two established youth service centers.
The Department of Student Services is accountable for ensuring the implementation of the TABS program. These contracts are consistent with state statute ยง 119.55 as well as Administrative Policy 8.14.
Each contract will run from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019.

Upon approval by the Board, the agreements will begin as indicated in the attachments.
Recommendation
:
The Administration recommends that the Board 1) authorize the Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement with the City of Milwaukee and 2) enter into an Agreement with Boys & Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee for the Truancy Abatement and Burglary Suppression (TABS) Program as set forth in the attachments to this item.
