Background: At the request of President Mark Sain, a special meeting of the Board of School Directors will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, in the Auditorium of the Central Services Building, 5225 West Vliet Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for the purpose of considering the terms of the employment agreement with the current Superintendent of Schools related to the resignation of the position, effective July 6, 2018.

The Board may retire to executive session pursuant to:
- Wisconsin Statutes, Section 19.85(1)(c), which allows a governmental body to retire to executive session for the purpose of considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility.
- Wisconsin Statutes, Section 19.85(1)(e), which allows a governing body to go into closed session for the purpose of deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session.
- Wisconsin Statutes, Section 19.85(1)(g), to confer with legal counsel who is rendering oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved.

The Board may reconvene in open session to take action on matters considered in executive session. Otherwise, the Board will adjourn from executive session.
