Background:
|
This report provides an overview of state assessments and universal screener results. STAR results demonstrate the baseline performance of students in reading, early literacy, and math based on new cut scores. The new cut scores provide a better indicator of the percentage of students that are on-track for proficiency on the Wisconsin Forward Exam and the ACT Aspire.
Additionally, Wisconsin State Assessment System data is included in the report. Wisconsin Forward Exam data represents performance of students in:
*Grades three through eight in English language arts and math;
*Grades four, eight, and ten in Social Studies; and
*Grades four and eight in Science
ACT Statewide data represents student performance in English language arts, math, and science. This data represents all students in eleventh grade that took the ACT in February 2017.
