Background: The district and schools currently use various methods to communicate with our students, families, staff and community stakeholders.

In our efforts to strengthen communication and collaboration, the district has added an additional resource to engage and inform regarding district and school information.

In order to stay current with digital utilization, the district has worked collaboratively with various departments to develop the MPS App to provide seamless integration with our district and schools websites.

The MPS App was recently soft launched and is compatible with current Android and Apple-based mobile devices. The MPS App is available for download from the respective app store. It has the ability for users to “opt in” to updates from any number of schools.

The MPS App is supported by the Departments of Communications and Marketing and Technology Services.
Fiscal Impact Statement: The annual cost of the MPS App is approximately $37,750.

Recommendation: Your Committee reports having received the foregoing report from the Administration. Although this item has been noticed for possible action, no action is required.
