Background:
|
At its meeting on August 30, 2018, the Milwaukee Board of School Directors referred resolution 1819R-006 by Director Voss regarding staff recognition to the Committee on Legislation, Rules and Policies (LRP).
The Administration is in agreement with the intent of the resolution and recommends its adoption. Staff recognition is integral to an organization's climate and culture and ia in alignment with the five priorities for success.
The suggested amendments to the resolution are related to adjustments to the timeline. |

Fiscal Impact Statement:
|
|
This item does not authorize expenditures. Funds to cover implementation of the resolution will be included in FY20 budget planning. |

Implementation and Assessment Plan: |
|
Upon approval by the Board, the Administration will update Administrative Policy 1.05, Recognition for Accomplishment, and work with the Office of Board Governance to create a companion procedure. |

Recommendation
|
|
The Administration recommends that the Board adopt Resolution 1819R-006 by Director Voss regarding staff recognition, as amended in the attachment. |
